National Wealth Fund backs Orkney community wind farm with £62.1m loan

Orkney Islands Council has secured a £62.1 million loan from the National Wealth Fund for its 28.8MW Quanterness community wind farm. The project will export power to the grid and generate long term revenues for local services, marking a flagship local authority-led clean energy investment in Scotland.
