It is quite apparent that offshore wind was dealt quite the blow in 2025. There was positive movement in the UK and Poland, but the setbacks clearly overshadowed the glimmer of hope. We take a close look at the failed tenders in Germany, France, the Netherlands as well as partial success in Norway and the UK for a realistic view of the sector. This is definitely not the end of offshore wind but a much needed reality check for a sector that was bogged down by hype.
